Supporting communication and wellness
Communication- communication is essential for sharing information, ideas, needs, and desires. It is also a vital component of community integration. We strive to help individuals with acquired brain injuries improve communication and ultimately increase life participation and wellness.
Access- Access to equitable speech therapy and psychosocial support for individuals with acquired brain injuries is the primary goal for the Communication Access Program. We strive to reduce health disparities to help all individuals, regardless of their socioeconomic status, geographic location in Arkansas, cultural background, race, gender indentity, sexual orientation, etc. receive quality healthcare services to improve and maintain their communication skills and overall wellness.
Program - our program aims to improve access to equitable speech therapy services, provide essential psychosocial support, enhance community integration, and wellness for individuals with acquired brain injuries as well as their caregivers. By addressing these objectives comprehensively, the program seeks to empower individuals, promote inclusivity, and improve overall quality of life.

Online and In-Person Aphasia Language Therapy Group
Group therapy sessions facilitated by a speech-language pathologist focused on stimulating all communication modalities (i.e., speaking, listening, reading and writing), communication compensatory strategies, and evidence based aphasia interventions, while serving as a support system.
Online and In-Person Aphasia Support Group
Online and In-person Caregiver Support Group
This group is facilitated by a certified counselor and focuses on providing emotional support, social connection, peer support, and empowerment to caregivers of individuals with aphasia.
This comprehensive approach ensures that caregivers receive holistic support, enhancing their ability to provide effective and compassionate care for their loved ones with aphasia.
Individual sessions upon application approval required
Individualized in-person and/or telehealth speech therapy sessions targeting neurogenic speech, language, and cognitive-communication disorders. We will provide a comprehensive evaluation and develop person-centered goals while utilzing the life participation approach to improve overall quality of life and wellness.
